Working in a competition for the charitable organization Mind, I was asked to design a branding campaign that appealed to a demographic of 16 - 21 year olds. Starting the campaign and design work in February, I decided to use valentines day as inspiration for the central theme to the project. I extended the pre existing logo to include a heart and “your” so that the logo became the slogan “Love your mind”. To appeal to a younger audience, I wanted to have a bold visual identity, recognisable logo and simple tag line, which could be used as the social handle too.
For the printed assets I wanted to explore optical illusions in graphic design. The idea was that when viewed the printed design would make you think how powerful the mind is.
